Then it can be your last... +9

the artwork is fine, although I don't like spiderman. Very nice dynamic

Two things: I think Spiderman looks to 'Plastic', and due the high contrast of the images it may look unclear. For example; I can't really see the monster...
ps. I love those details!!

The bright white highlights on Venom are distracting and the second page is ruined with that big white area. It's just creating too much contrast to the page and surrounding action.. Why is that there anyway?
The third page is the best one, although yet again, there's a strange block of light color ruining the mood...
I think the problem is that you're using colors with too small contrast.. I needed a lot of effort to see which is Spiderman, which is Venom and which is the background.. But maybe it's just my monitor, since everyone else is praising it.
In general, I love the inking, but the coloring needs work.. (And I've liked your other works.) In comics, the needless artistic gimmicks are.. bad.

I mean, wow.
This is... wow.
I spend evenings trying to draw something that barely looks like human beings, and you come up with that.
Wow.
Wish I could give more than 5.
Spidey rules !

Anyway, really neat looking otherwise!

I find your representation of venom perfect hes is no where and every where and the feeling of the shear viciousness and contempt is radiant! As for spidey his "plastic" feel only adds to the 'comic'esque touch. I have been watching spidey evolve for 20 years now, from Lee's perspective to the God all artist know as Mcfarlane and i think as they have added there touch so have you.
GJ!!!
PS I beg for one more, yikes has it right please...just one witchblade!!!
-this is only my opinion.

man i love that composition and stuff.. always been a huge comic fan..

first.. about what i said. (no more comicbook chracters) i mean, super heroes. typical super heroes. i know there are plenty of great superhero identities out there, but since im a new golden boy on the block, and i now wear tux when i paint, i thought i should do flowers, and cute fuzzy animals adorably looking back at you. No?
I will be doing comics. of course. the world without comics is like hottie without left nipple (as i said before)
and comments by creatorsfault... i agree. in all degrees, except for one thing about gimmicks. this is actually me attempting something i havent done before. and i believe Gimmick is something that i cheat and repeat. this is 24 page effort condensed into 3 pages. if you found gimmick within this, please enlighten me. i wanna know what made you think this is gimmick. not to defend myself, but to improve myself and never do it again.
like i said, about the contrast, and venom being not easy to recognize... all valid and i apreciate that call.
venom certainly is hard character to describe. i had intension of him being structure-less. more in liquid form.
once again, thank you very much for your sharp criticizm.
okay more info on this pic..
its 3 page 11X17 standard comic pages put together for this presentation, and i used PS7 with optic mouse.
it took me about 6 days. one day penciling, one day painting. and no ink was used.
i met Joe quesada (chief editor of Marvel) in person at the San Diego Comicon 03, but this spider man and my x-men 3page work weren't good enough to impress him. (i still love you Joe! your stuff rocks!)
but thats okay. i get to share with you here.
i Love you every one. i would marry every single one of you!
10/12/03 @083
You mentioned that you had a x men comic. I would LOVE to see that!
Your work has inspired me to make a comic too! You are my idol!

With the word 'gimmick' I was mainly referring to the bright white area in the second page and the plain light box in the third, but I don't know how fit the word I chose was and what it actually means to you.. I didn't come up with anything better, I'm Finnish after all.
So, comicwise, the only things that bothers me in this piece are those to things mentioned above.. Otherwise I admire this piece and you since you actually bother to answer the comments unlike most of the artists whose galleries I've visited.
Just in case, I didn't mean to be mean (
Just to make things clear about my comment, I don't want to be known as an asshole who bashes elite artists because he's bitter of the fact that can't draw anything thus knowing will never get anywhere, since I don't consider myself as one..
Okay, the word diarrhea is over now. Cheers.

"no comic book characters anymore" sounds so hard when one looks at this one.
...
also like the incorporation of graphic matters such as the white on page two and the way scructure and paint blends. very tasty!

I think your developing a potentially very successful style here. This could go somewhere with a little more polish. Send this to Avatar and see what the response is!
P.S. I absolutely love the Eye cover treatments!

From heart, I like the Shuriken and your other works. Your imagination is cool, your stronger point is you got " Your own Culture" in ur drawing(But i prefer to see more culture of Korea , you can play it in your character dressing. I think that will be cool) .Yup! I can feel it. I like your works so much. That's one of the reason i join in GFX. Keep rock every lines and strokes for your passion of life.

It's been a very long time since I picked up a pencil, and a dream that left me a long time ago. I just wanted to say that I have viewed your work, and you and jujika and very, very well deserved of your elite status. it seems to my untrained eye that your work is well planned, well executed, and involves the viewer completely. I may be wrong here but after browsing both your work and jujika's, I understand that you collaborate quite alot??, if as I understand this is correct may I suggest that this be a trend that continues, you are both very accomplished solo artists, but when your skills and experience combine you both reach a whole new level, which for some of us will never be attainable.
I shall look forward to seeing more of your work. =)
