Dear GFX-sapiens. i come in peace.

here is one of your most beloved little green men.
June 30th 2004, Dark horse comics and Lucas books will highlight, and publish a comic book called Starwars JEDI: YODA

This book features a story about two young jedi padawans, a king of a great civilization, wicked politicians and Master Yoda, one of the greatest jedi ever, in clone war predicament, which is beautifully written by Jeremy Barlow, And collaboratively illustrated and painted by JUJI
MIRO and myself.

This particular version of cover art is the last thing i did for the project, but the original version was done as the benchmark peice for 40 fully rendered in digital, sequential pages.

One day spent for the original piece, and about 3 extra hours to enhance and update the persona of the old green froggy.

i was a bit hesitant to post the cover---this portrait of yoda, but updating the image a little gave me confidence to share with you fine people.

I've seen this several times and I still think it's amazing.. the style reminds me of oldschool Star Wars posters, very smooth painterly like feel. And Yoda just rules. awesome work

this deserves g-spot in my opinion. everything is perfect. expression on the face, pose, and the way you portrayed the light. it's all incredibly strong. cloth looks great and surroundings complement everything (though the light seems not to portrayed as well in the smoke in the foreground). you have a really strong eye and you can communicate everything you see so well with these digital brushes.

Love the lighting, the texture, and most of all the feel. It's a very strong piece.

Perfectly captures Yoda's persona. Even if someone had no knowledge of Star Wars, they could still learn a lot about this character just by studying this piece. Nice warmth in the eyes also, slightly contrasting the rest of the picture.

Before I even read the description i had a feeling It was a piece of Cover art from the layout. Very nice. You've portrayed yoda's seriousness yet still made him look approachable. Beautiful lighting as well.
